Dear Colleagues,
I'm pleased to announce the 2017 Wheelwright Prize jury. Harvard GSD's $100,000 traveling fellowship for early-career architects is now in its 5th year as an open international competition. Please help us spread the news about this extraordinary opportunity. The 2017 Wheelwright Prize competition platform is currently accepting applications, with a deadline of February 3, 2017 (extended from the previously announced January 31). More information is here: http://www.WheelwrightPrize.org&;source=gmail&ust=1484054111001000&usg=AFQjCNG1ye_CClE2esyuNbAFtugWbIU-_w">www.WheelwrightPrize.org.
The recent presentation of 2014 winner Jose Ahedo at Harvard GSD conveys the opportunity afforded by the prize. Jose spent the past two years researching his topic, Domesticated Grounds: Design and Domesticity Within an Animal Farming System. He traveled over 100,000 miles to eight countries on four continents, meeting over 200 families, scientists, academics, policymakers and others involved in animal farming. His full lecture is viewable on the Wheelwright and GSD websites.
We appreciate your help in sharing the news of this opportunity to your young colleagues, students, members and followers. It would be wonderful if you could post this competition in your organization's newsletter or website, or share it on your social media.
Thanks, and best regards,
Cathy Lang Ho
